I decided to paint my nails this week - a pretty big deal for me since I can't normally wear it because of work. Since I've been off all this week though I figured I might as well take advantage!
I popped into town earlier in the week, picked out a few pretty polishes and sat there later that same day happily sloshing the stuff all over my finger tips. Later on I realised I'd completely forgotten to buy any remover to get the stuff off again (nightmare) which is when my best mate recommended I try out this Home Bargains' fast & fruity nail polish remover tub.
Even though I've only used it this once I'm majorly impressed with it already and at 89p it's one of my new favourite little bargains.

You literally dunk your nails into the spongy pot, give them a bit of a twist and out they come looking like they'd never been painted in the first place. Not a hint of green was to be seen and all in less than 5 minutes! Bit different from my memories of trying to remove nails varnish as a young teenager - sat on my Mum's bed with a bottle of stinky liquid and some cotton wool balls scrubbing away for half an hour for it to still not completely come off.
One very minor criticism I have is that in spite of being "peach flavoured" it still has that distinctive nail polish remover smell (just with added fruitiness) which is quite overpowering when you first open the bottle. However as it only takes a couple of minutes to use it's bearable so long as you keep the pot as far away from your nostrils as possible.
I think there are other more expensive nail polish removers out there that have a similar concept - I don't know how they compare since I've not tried any of them, but considering I don't paint my nails that often and this Home Bargain's alternative is less than a quid I think it's pretty much ideal for me.
Have you ever tried Home Bargains' Easy Nails "fast and fruity" nail polish remover before? Or any like it? What do you think of it?
I have a bourjois one of these and I love it! I don't think it really smells at all, though it is a bit more expensive. It's pretty good for glitter polish too, though I kept an old one to use for that as it does shred the sponge a bit.
Ah maybe that's why this one's so cheap then!
I hate it if I could see I would, it dissolved my false nails whilst trying to remove the paint as well as the fact that it made them and thin and as flimsy as paper. Not happy
Just used the fast and fruity nail polish remover for the first time and it works great! The smell isn't so great though!!
