What is it with the British weather? Spend ages whingeing about how miserable and rainy it is and then a week later Mother Nature goes and hits you with a massive heat wave!
While I have nothing against the sun, I really don't cope well in extreme heat. If I'm sat on a beach or by a pool then I'm too fussed but when I'm sweating buckets rushing around trying to get things done I'm not a fan.
Here’s what I wore today as an attempt to stay cool.

You can also see the MASSIVE bruise I'm sporting at the moment (just above my knee on my right leg). Had a falling out with the pavement on Saturday night. The pavement won.
I bought this shirt a few weeks ago and it's brilliant for this weather. It's made from light sheer material so really helped me from overheating too much in the heat. I paired it with these shorts (my go-to item of clothing when the sun's out) which I bought from Miss Selfridge years ago. I wore them loads when I first bought them then somehow lost them in the back of my closet after the summer had finish. So glad I've found them again because they're some of the most comfortable shorts I own and they're a bit more interesting than the standard blue denim ones I usually wear.
These wedge boots I bought while shopping today in New Look. I’m meant to be curbing my shoe shopping addiction but I’ve wanted these since I first saw them and since my student discount runs out soon *sob* I thought I’d get them now while I could still get 10% off.
Not sure if you can tell from the photos but I also popped into the hairdressers today for a much-needed fringe trim. I’ve tried cutting it myself in the past but it was such a disaster - to the point where my hairdresser actually told me off when I next went in to beg him to fix it. Luckily the salon I go to regularly at home offer free fringe trims so I’ve decided it’s worth the hassle (and £1.50 bus fare) to just get it done there.
