EPCOT was actually the first park we visited on our trip to Walt Disney World in August. We spent 2 full days here, plus an evening to see the illumiNations fireworks. What I liked most about this park is it felt a lot more chilled out compared to the others. My favourite part was just wandering around the World Showcase, taking in the surroundings.
Favourite Rides & Shows

For those who don't know, Epcot is split into 2 main areas; Future World and the World Showcase. Future World is where you can find most of the 'big' rides like Soarin', Test Track and Mission: Space. It's also home to the famous 'Golf Ball' - which is actually a ride called Spaceship Earth.
World Showcase is a collection of different Pavilions, where each one represents a different country. As you walk around the lake you pass through each country. One minute you can be eating Gelato in Italy, then the next you're walking past a Fish n Chips shop in the UK!
One of my favourite rides was Frozen Ever After, which is located in the Norway Pavilion. It only opened earlier this year and there was a lot of controversy around it at the time, but I really enjoyed it. It reminded me a bit of It's a Small World at Magic Kingdom (another of my favourite rides!) I also loved Soarin', Test Track and Turtle Talk with Crush.
Character Meets

We met some fantastic characters at the Epcot Character Spot - including BAYMAX from Big Hero 6! It was literally like hugging a giant balloon. We also met original Mickey, Minnie and Goofy which was lots of fun. The only character I wished we'd been able to meet was Pluto. We saw him near the Mexico Pavilion, but a storm rolled in just as we were waiting in the queue to meet him.
Where we ate
On our first day at EPCOT we walked over to Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club Resort. The main reason we booked here was for "The Kitchen Sink." For those who don't know, THIS is the Kitchen Sink...

So. Much. Ice Cream. We shared it between 5 of us (plus a side order of fries and onion rings) and couldn't finish it. It was HUGE, but so worth it. On our 2nd day at EPCOT we grabbed something quick in the Land Pavilion canteen, then wondered over to Italy for some Gelato (which was delicious btw!)
Otherwise we didn't try any of the other restaurants at EPCOT. Definitely one to add to the list for next time...

That's it from EPCOT! Don't forget you can check out my other Florida posts here.
