15 Goals for 2015 - An Update!

15 Goals for 2015 - Griffblog

Remember back at the start of January, when I wrote about the 15 goals I'd like to achieve this year? Now that we're over halfway through the year I thought it's a perfect time for a little catch-up on how things are going!

Completed:

  • Pass my driving test - I did this back in March and to date it's one of my proudest achievements of the year (if not ever!) It's weird to think it's been over 3 months now since I bought my car - feels like a lot longer!
  • Attend another blogger meet-up (or two!) - I've been to a couple already this year, but I'm hoping to go to a few more over the summer!
  • Find the perfect black everyday handbag - See this outfit post! I picked it up in H&M at the start of the year and it's pretty much been my bag-of-choice ever since.

Almost completed:

  • Read 50 books - According to Goodreads I've read 19 books so far this year, which puts me at 4 behind schedule. Hopefully I'll be able to catch up over the summer hols. Nothing beats sitting out in the sunshine with a good book!
  • Complete the 30-day shred - If you add up the number of times I've done this workout DVD over the past 6 months it would probably add up to 30... sadly I've yet to completely 30 days in a row. I have hope it could still happen though!
  • Redecorate my house - All I need is a new pair of curtains and my bedroom is pretty much done! Only the bathroom and living room to go...
  • Watch all the TV shows that have been recommended to me in the past - So far I've watched the first season of The Walking Dead, and am halfway through the first season of Modern Family. Have yet to get up the courage to start watching American Horror Story, but now that there's a Game Of Thrones shaped hole in my Monday evenings I'll hopefully find the time soon.
  • Visit my favourite restaurants and try something completely new off the menu - I forgot this was on here! I tried a couple of different side dishes last time I went to Wagamama's but that's about it... need to make more of an effort with this one!
  • Learn to use photoshop properly and continue to improve my photography - I think I've definitely improved on my photoshop skills since the start of the year. I still have a way to go though before I'm 100% happy!

Still to go:

  • Visit at least one city I’ve never been to before - Still no luck on this one, although me and my boyfriend have been talking about going on a city break at some point over the summer so *fingers crossed.*
  • Find the perfect coloured foundation for my pale skin - I've just bought Benefit's "Big Easy" which I'm really excited to try, but I've yet to find the perfect foundation.
  • Reach 500 Bloglovin’ followers and 1000 twitter followers - I'm still hopeful on this one! I've not been blogging much recently so I haven't had any new followers in a while, but if you fancy helping a girl out - my bloglovin' is here and my twitter is here ;-)
  • Get a new phone - Only 2 months til my contract finishes and it honestly can't come soon enough! Samsung S6 here I come...
  • Go abroad somewhere - I'm planning to go on holiday in September though. Not sure where yet, but so long as there's a beach and plenty of cocktails I'll be happy!
  • Start writing more varied blog post on different topics - Safe to say I've completely bombed on this one! My blog has taken a bit of a back seat over the past few months, but I'm hoping to get it off the ground again over the summer.

Did you set any goals at the start of this year? How many have you achieved so far?

Congrats on passing your test! I ordered my provisional today! I am a wee bit behind on my book goal too but I definitely read much more over summer when I have more free time :)

Thanks Hayley! I'm the same, always seem to have more free reading time over the summer. I blame it on the weather, can't beat sitting out in the sunshine with a good book :)

I love this post, it's really nice that you've set goals. Well done on passing your driving test. In all honesty I'm really scared to learn (worried I might kill someone LOL) x

Thanks Victoria :) Hahaha, I felt exactly the same up until a few years ago! I was terrified on my first lesson, and it took me a few goes before I finally passed my test, but the more I kept at it the easier it got x

Ooo I really like this post! I may have to do something like this myself over on my blog. ^_^

Well done for everything you've accomplished so far and I'm sure you will complete more of your goals very soon. :D
