Instagram update!
First off, let's address the elephant in the room - things have been pretty light on the ol' blogging front this month. It's not that I haven't wanted to blog (because I definitely have) it's just that I genuinely haven't had the time to sit down at my laptop for any length of time to type out a post.
I've been writing this blog for almost 3 years now, and it's the first time I've really felt the strain with trying to post regularly. Hopefully it'll get a little easier as we head into the summer, but in the meantime here's what I got up to in April...

I dyed my hair!
Around 3 weeks ago I finally decided to take the plunge and dye my hair again! If you've been following my blog for a while you may remember I dyed my hair red a couple of years ago (see here!) and I figured I'd do it again for this summer. It's quite subtle, so in certain lighting it still looks kind of brownish, but I actually like it that way. You can kind of get the gist of it from the photo above on the right.

Blogging Events
A few weeks ago I went to a Lush Skincare event at the Lush store in Solihull. I'll hopefully have a more detailed post on that coming up soon, but overall it was a lovely evening and I really enjoyed learning all about Lush's skincare range. Plus we got to make our own cupcake face mask (as modelled by me above haha!)
Last Wednesday was then the #FloridaTix10th birthday party! I'm not sure if I've mentioned this on the blog before, but I've been working for FloridaTix (and our sister company AttractionTix) for almost a year now, and it was really exciting being part of our first blogger event to celebrate our 10th birthday! I think it's safe to say everyone had a really great night, and it was great catching up with some of my fellow Birmingham bloggers.

Food, glorious food!
April has been a very good month food-wise. One of my best friends from Uni came home from Thailand a couple of weeks ago, so I met up with her in Liverpool for a catchup and a bit of shopping. For lunch we went to Jamie's Italian and omg it was so good. I'd never been before and I was little surprised to find they don't do pizza (say whaaat), but the vegetarian pasta I had was delicious - as were the chips!
I also got to re-discover my love for El Greco. If you like Greek food and you're ever in Stratford-Upon-Avon I'd definitely recommend giving them a go. Me and my mum ordered 2 of the lunchtime mini-mezes (where you get 3 dishes for a tenner) and we were stuffed!

Weekend in York
Last weekend I headed on up to York with the family to visit my younger sister (who's at uni there). On the Saturday we hopped aboard the North Yorkshire Moors Railway to Whitby, stopping off at Goathand and Grosmont along the way. My Granddad had always wanted to see the village where Heartbeat was filmed, and I was pretty excited to see the station where they filmed scenes from some of the Harry Potter films (pic above!)

A few other favourites...
How cute is this top from Sugahill Boutique? I always say I'm more of a crazy cat lady, but even I couldn't resist that super sweet puppy print! Speaking of super sweet - Easter called for a change in phone cases (this one is from Etsy) and I loved it so much I decided to keep it on for a little while longer.
Don't forget you can follow me on Instagram to keep up-to-date with all my random life snaps!

Seems like you had a great month! I love that phone case :)

Thanks Victoria! It's so cute, I never want to take it off my phone haha :)
I also find it a bit weird that Jamie's Italian don't do pizza. I feel like he'd be the type to come out with weird and wonderful toppings.
Love Hayley,

Yeah same, whenever I think of Italian food pizza is the first thing that comes to mind! Luckily my pasta was still delicious though :)
