Tartan and Leather

Today I'm wearing my new tartan shirt from Hearts and Bows which I bought in the Manchester Ark store while visiting my mate at her Uni last month. I love a good checked shirt and this one is not just any checked shirt - it's a leather-collar-and-eagle-wing-collar-pins checked shirt, which just makes me love it even more!

I'm wearing it with a jumper over the top as well today (this one in fact) in order to fend off the risk of pneumonia, but I took it off for the photos so I could show off the shirt off in all it's tartan-y glory.

This weekend was spend shopping on Saturday, in which I was very restrained and only bought one pair of shoes and a pack of tights. Oh and some Primark pillows to brighten up my sofa (£4 each - bargain!) but I've decided they don't count.

Sunday was then spent watching my Mum do D.I.Y in what will eventually be my kitchen. Hopefully I'll have a shiny new kitchen by Easter time which means I'll finally be able to stop cooking in what I lovingly refer to as "the shed" (aka my current kitchen which resides in a wooden extension out the back of my house).

This afternoon (after work) was spent running errands (i.e. trekking to the post office and back with a pop into Home Bargains thrown in for good measure) and now I'm planning on kicking back in my new Kigu and catching up the last couple of week's worth of 90210. Such an exciting life I lead!
