Hello everyone! Hope you've all had a fabulous Christmas and are looking forward to the New Year. This month has been a pretty busy one (as December always is). I turned 26 on the 17th, which was a little scary but nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be. When I was younger I used to dread getting older, but I think I'm learning to embrace it.
Christmas Day was mostly spent at my Nan's house, eating too much, watching festive films and cuddling with her adorable Westie puppies. We even squeezed in a game of Star Wars Monopoly later in the evening (I came 3rd... out of 4. But we don't talk about that).
I received some lovely presents for my birthday and Christmas, so I thought I'd share a few of them on the blog. I know these posts can be a little *controversial* but I personally like seeing what other people got. But then maybe I'm just nosy!

At the start of 2016 I set myself a Goodreads challenge to read to read 50 books. I figured one book a week would be easy to achieve, but it turned out to be harder than I expected. I reached 31 in September then kind of gave up (I blame Netflix!) I'm hoping to get back into reading again next year, so I was really happy to receive A Street Cat Named Bob and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child - two books I've been wanting to read for ages!
I'd also like to finish the latest Game of Thrones book. I'm a big fan of the TV show and started reading the series years ago, but never got round to finishing A Dance with Dragons. Need to get a move on before The Winds of Winter comes out next year! My mum got me tonnes of GoT gifts this year, including this mug and a matching t-shirt.

My family definitely know me too well when it comes to clothes and accessories. My younger sister got me this cute velvet bag, the Star Wars PJs were from my older sister and the gorgeous purrmaids blouse is from my Nan. I also received some Lush goodies, including my favourite cleanser Bûche de Noël, and this beautiful woodland animal jumper from my Mum. I love that it's not *too* festive so I can get away with wearing it after Christmas is over.

What did you get for Christmas this year? Feel free to leave any blog links in the comments below!

I keep meaning to finish the GoT books too - I can't remember how far I got! You got some really lovely things. I love the woodland jumper <3
