Instagram Update!
Not gonna lie... I was a little bit nervous when it came to sitting down and writing this post. Not because it's a particularly difficult post to write (my monthly Instagram updates are actually some of my favourites to put together!) but because it's been so long since my last blog post I was a little bit scared I'd forgotten how to blog!
Sounds kind of ridiculous (and I guess I am exaggerating a little) - but I feel like I've been really lacking in inspiration recently. Even when it comes to my Instagram I feel like I've not been posting as often as I'd like. I blame the weather. And Netflix. And just general 'real-life' getting in the way.
ANYWAY! Enough doom and gloom. Other than feeling guilty about the whole "not-having-the-time-to-blog" thing, here's what else I got up to this month...

I passed my driving test!
If you follow me on Twitter or read my last blog post you may have seen that earlier this month I finally passed my driving test! Then on Saturday I bought my very first car! I'm not picking it up until Thursday, but I'm so unbelievably excited!! I'd been searching through autotrader listings for ages trying to find one I liked, then my mum happened to spot this one at a garage she was driving past on the way to work.
It's a (pretty ancient) VW Polo, but it's got good mileage on it and was within my price range so I was happy to go for it. Plus I really liked the colour - and we all know that's the most important part ;-)
Have also included my awful attempt at taking a picture of the solar eclipse that happened on the 20th March. It was a bit cloudy and grey in Birmingham so we couldn't really see it that well, but I did try!

Mother's Day
Earlier this month it was also Mother's Day! We didn't do anything to celebrate on the day, but the day after I bought my mum some flowers and took her out for a meal at one of her favourite pubs. It's a privately owned place not far from where we live, but they do the most delicious food. My sister's boyfriend is actually a chef there and made sure he was the one cooking our food haha. I had the bean burger and it definitely didn't disappoint.

The kitty cats
Bilbo got into a bit of a nasty fight earlier this month - not serious enough to warrant a trip to the vets, but bad enough that she spent a good few days feeling rather sorry for herself. I can't believe she's going to be 2 in a few weeks, where has the time gone!? Her and Tallulah decided to bring me a little 'present' home the other week (and it wasn't a new pair of shoes). Safe to say I wasn't impressed, especially as they decided to leave it for me under my bed(!) but I guess it's the thought that counts...
Don't forget you can keep up-to-date with my (sometimes) daily snapshots over on my instagram!

Looks like an amazing month! Congrats on passing your driving test, that's brill! I love your kitties too, so adorable!
Let's hope April is just a good of a month for you!

Thanks Hayley! It was a pretty eventful month looking back - although passing my test was definitely one of the highlights :) Hope you have a fab April too! x
Congratulations on passing your driving test! And love your car, I'm still on my first car 4 years down the line, I definitely think it's time for a new one but she's been pretty reliable so far!
