It's that awkward time of the year again. You know the one - not quite warm enough to ditch the tights but still too cold to leave your coat at home. Now that we're starting to move into this weird in-between season I've began to build up my transitional wardrobe again. For me this means cute dresses, pretty patterns, comfortable boots and plenty of bright colours!
For today's blog post I've put together a few of my transitional wardrobe essentials (courtesy of George at Asda!) which I think are ideal for the run-up to spring. Especially on days like today when you're not really sure what the weather's going to turn out like!

The Black Skater Dress
Dress, Boots and Bag - c/o George at Asda
Cardigan - New Look
Scarf - River Island
(Necklace - Market Stall)
Hands up who else has a slight obsession with skater dresses? So flattering and perfect for throwing on when you can't decide what else to wear! This black one is a lovely length (not too short but not too long) and looks great with tights and without. Plus it's an absolute bargain at only £8!
I've worn it during the day with a cardigan and boots, but you can easily dress it up with high heels and a statement clutch bag for a night out too. George at Asda have tonnes of pretty but affordable dresses in stock at the moment (you can check them out on their website here!)

The Pastel Leather Jacket
Dress, Necklace and Jacket - All c/o George at Asda
Biker jackets are great for this time of year. Pick one in a pretty pastel shade and you've got yourself the ideal spring cover-up! I think they can look really cute layered over a simple dress or thrown on with a stripy t-shirt and some jeans. I can already tell I'll be getting loads of wear out of this faux leather one over the next few months... and not just because it's my all time favourite colour!

The Accessories
You can't go wrong with a brightly coloured bag and some cute block heeled boots! These brown beauties are super comfortable and great for adding a little bit of height. Plus they haven't given me a single blister in the 2 weeks that I've been wearing them - a rarity for me with new shoes! They've sold out online now, but they may still be available in stores.
And there you have it - my wardrobe essentials for transitioning into spring! Hope you've enjoyed this post and are having a happy start to the month - can't believe it's March already!
What are your transitional wardrobe essentials? What do you think of mine?

I think George are often overlooked, the new pieces I have from there have been really good quality and have lasted forever! Love the black skater dress xx
Couldn't agree more, have yet to buy anything from George that I've been disappointed with (and I love how cheap they are too!) xx
Gorgeous outfits, I adore the dress and it fits you lovely :) That cardigan! - It goes perfectly with the skirt, making me wish I had picked it up now when we saw it hehe.

Ahh thanks lovely! Not gonna lie, I've pretty much been living it in since I bought it haha xx
Aww, I really love that pastel blue jacket! And yes the weather is so weird now, it can be so sunny and warm then so cold again haha.

Yeah it's so weird how the weather can change so quickly - and it makes getting dressed in the morning so much harder! x
I love a skater dress too! :) All these outfits are gorgeous <3 Gisforgingers xx
