It's been forever since I last did a book review on the blog. A couple of months ago I mentioned in my 10 Things Summer Bucket List post that I really wanted to re-discover my love of books. So far I think I've actually managed it! I've been taking part in the #bookbloggers chat on Twitter as much as I can for inspiration and after winning a Kindle last month I got a bit excited and started downloading some of the recommendations I'd seen straight away!

My mum bought me Me Before You for Christmas last year but I only got round to reading it a few months ago. I ended up finishing it in 2 days - it was that good! I'd never heard of Jojo Moyes before but I'm really interested now in checking out some of her other books.
Summary
I don’t want to give away too much of the storyline, but it basically follows two main characters – Louisa and Will.
Lou is a young woman who’s kind of just drifting along in life, but after losing her job working in the local coffee shop, things all start to change. She (a little bit reluctantly) takes a job working for Will – a quadriplegic who lost his desire to live following the accident that left him paralysed years earlier.
What I like about this book is how well it tackles some really serious (and much talked about) issues in a sensitive and thought-provoking way. The writing flows really well, making it so easy to read. You can feel yourself being drawn into the characters’ stories as it follows their lives and relationships.
While this definitely falls into the category of “Books that will make you cry” I also found myself laughing and smiling throughout.
The ending is nearly impossible to predict, but it stuck with me long after I finished it – and it’s not often I can say that about a book!
Conclusion
Overall this is probably the best novel I have read all year and I would 100% recommend it.
You Before Me is one of my favourite books ever! I read a while ago and it was amazing, I cried and laughed all the way through.. such a good story and really easy and quick to read too! Glad you enjoyed it :)
I've got Mad About the Boy as well, I got it in hardback when it first came out.. unfortunately I have still to read it but I'm sure I'll love it when I get to it! Great post.. thanks! xxx

I love You Before Me, It was a really interesting read and I'll definitely be looking out for other Jojo Moyes books. I haven't read any of the Bridget Jones series and after hearing the spoiler Im not really interested in reading the newest one.

I really loved Me Before You! It was just so much more than I thought it would be.
I didn't really know what to expect before I read it so I was really surprised by how much I loved it!
