This is another one of the Chiara fashion tops I won in a giveaway on Robyn's blog a few weeks ago (the first of which I wore here). My Mum agreed to take these photos for me when she popped over today to crack on with painting my kitchen. I wrote a post back in May describing how since I moved into my house around a year ago there's been a lot of work that's needed doing on it - the kitchen included - and although progress has been slow at times it should hopefully only be a couple more weeks now until it's finally finished!

Top - Chiara Fashion via Robyn’s giveaway; Skirt - Romwe; Denim shirt - New Look; Bag - Mozzypop; Necklace - New Look; Boots - New Look
I really like the tribal pattern of this top and although it's a little short (what with it being a crop top and all that...) it's just the right length to go with my black Romwe skirt which I'm kind of glad about as it's been kicking around my wardrobe unworn since I bought it a few months ago.
In other news one of my best friends from Uni is coming down to visit for a few days this week which I'm proper excited about. I haven't seen her in person for over three months so I'm eagerly anticipating a good old catch-up! I spent part of today sorting through all the crap I've got stored in my spare room so she'll at least have somewhere to sleep when she gets here. While doing so I uncovered (among other things) these cute berry boots which my Mum bought me for Christmas last year.
I decided to pop them on for these photos because (1) I couldn't wear my slippers outside, (2) they match my bag and (3) I kinda like it when my shoes match my bag...

Hope everyone's had a good weekend :-)

Thank you so much! I always try to mix a bit of humour into my writing so it's good to hear you like it!
