Little red riding coat

I've been feeling pretty poorly since early Friday morning, which meant I spent most of my weekend alternating between my bed, the bathroom and my mum's sofa. I'm feeling a lot better now, or at least I've managed to change out of my onesie into regular comfy clothes, so I'm hoping I'll be back to myself really soon!

These are just a couple of photos I took last week while trying out my new camera tripod. Can't believe I didn't pick one up sooner; makes taking blog photos so much easier compared to begging my Mum to take my photos or trying to balance my camera on my wheelie bin and various bits of garden furniture.

Coat - Gift from my Nan (originally Topshop); Jeans - New Look (old); Heeled studded ankle boots - New Look

My Nan gave me this coat earlier this year when it was too warm to wear it. I have no idea where she picked it up from, but I couldn't believe it when I saw it was originally from Topshop! It's definitely my new favorite coat for the Winter.

It's a bit longer than coats I usually like, and it doesn't have a hood so I'll have to make sure I've got an umbrella permanently on me whenever I go out to avoid getting rained on. I still love it though - the coat material is really thick so it's lovely and warm, and the colour is so bright and vibrant when the weather's so dull and miserable.

What do you think? What Winter coats are you loving at the moment?

I think the length is perfect and it fits you really well. I love the colour as well. I'm out looking for a winter coat for myself and can't seem to find anything that I love just yet.
