Colour me in pastels

I went out for a few drinks with some of my girl mates last night and this is what I ended up wearing. Ever since I left Uni a year ago I've found I sometimes struggle with deciding what to wear for nights out. I think because my everyday style outside of my work uniform has got a lot more "dressier" sometimes I find it hard to pull something out of my wardrobe which doesn't feel too casual.

After my best mate snap-chatted me a picture of what she was wearing (too much love for that app) I decided to keep it simple and go for my Forever 21 mint top my ancient grey New Look bodycon skirt and cork coral wedges.

Aaand I've just realised everything in this outfit other than my top is from New Look (obsessed much?) but I think the pastel colours work really well together, especially because it was such a warm, sunny evening. I was originally going to wear either my grey or nude heels but after 5 days on the trot at work my feet would have actually killed me so I went for my more comfortable cork wedges instead. I think they look just as nice though and at least I won't be sobbing in work all next week because my feet are in agony!

I'm going to spend the rest of my day off relaxing in the sunshine (if my hangover allows me to) while preparing for my Dad, Step-mum and Stepbrother's arrival tomorrow(!). I can't believe how quickly it's come around but I'm so excited to see him since it's been nearly a year since he was last over visiting from the US (where he lives).
