Don't get me wrong - I love my patterns, prints and fussy little details, but sometimes it's nice just to kick back in a comfy pair of jeans and a simple t-shirt.

I don't wear jeans that often, other than in the middle of Winter when it's too cold for anything else! I warm up quite easily and because I hate feeling too hot so I always tend to favour shorts, skirts and dresses over trousers and denim.
These Topshop jeans which I bought last week are so comfortable though and they have the perfect amount of stretch to make them fit beautifully. They look great with just a simple vest top and cute necklace like I'm wearing here but I can imagine they'd look just as good with a jumper, scarf and boots when the colder weather hits.
These brogues are also a relatively new addition to my wardrobe. I like that they're a bit smarter than my usual choice of footwear and the low heel means they make me feel that little bit taller without making my feet throb from trampling around in them all day.
I finished my last shift at my old job yesterday morning and start my new job in just a few days! Kind of nerve racking but also really exciting!
