Please excuse the slightly awkward posing in these photos. You can tell it’s been over 6 months since I last took outfit pictures! These were taken over the weekend when it was gloriously hot and sunny outside.
I had an appointment at the hairdressers on Saturday and spontaneously decided to get my fringe cut back in. By the time I got home it was a stringy, sweaty mess, so I’m starting to regret that decision! I also had a good amount chopped off the ends, although I chickened out of going even shorter. Maybe next time!
On Saturday evening I headed out into Birmingham for food and drinks. We started at The Botanist near New Street, then worked our way up to The Alchemist and Jekyll and Hyde for cocktails, before finishing up the night in Bacchus Bar. Sunday was spent hiding from the sun (hello hangover), so I mostly stayed inside binge-watching Grey’s Anatomy.
Top, Skirt & Shoes – All from New Look
This outfit is unintentionally all from New Look. I bought this red skirt last summer and it quickly became one of my favourites. As I’ve grown older I’ve found it more and more difficult to find skirts and dresses that are an “appropriate” length. I bought 3 dresses from H&M a few weeks ago and had to return them all as they barely covered my bum! I actually thought I must have picked them up from the petite range by mistake.
This one is not too short and it has pockets! Instant win. I love how it looks with this purple top (which I also have in blue btw). You can also easily dress it down with a plain t-shirt and flat pumps. These rose gold heels are also a new addition to my wardrobe. I couldn’t decide if I liked them at first but they’ve really grown on me.
