If you read my last post on Wednesday you'll have seen that earlier this week I won a giveaway on Sarah's blog where I got to pick an item I wanted from the Sugarhill Boutique website; which got me pretty excited since I pretty much love everything they have on there!
In the end I chose the Summer Skies dress since I don't own many (or any) dresses in yellow and I figured it'd be the perfect warm weather dress. Since it was bright and sunny this morning and I was that excited to wear it, I decided to put it on for Sunday lunch at my Mum's today, then asked her to take a few pictures of me in it while it was still reasonably sunny outside.

So weird seeing pictures of myself in my Mum's back garden - back where I used to take outfit photos when I first started this blog!
I went for a size medium 'cause I wanted to be sure it fitted (my fox print dress I bought from there last year I have in a size small and I can only wear it if I have someone around to help me get the zip up!) I'm glad I did because as a result it's the perfect length and floaty-ness. I wore it with my red Primark flats since I was just going to my Mum's today and they matched my (probably-not-needed-but-I-wore-them-anyway) sunglasses, but I want to get some pastel coloured cork wedges to go with it as well.
Today was a really welcome break from work - as much as I enjoy the extra money working nights brings, I hate how it messes up my sleeping pattern and leaves me too exhausted to do anything productive for most of the day. After lunch at my Mum's earlier some of the family (my mum, Nan and Grandad, sister and my little niece) came over to mine for a bit to meet the kittens. They're 9 days old now and 2 of them have started to open their eyes - it's so cute! I'm gonna have to move them this week I think since they've started to move around a bit more and I'm not too keen on the idea of them freely roaming my room while I'm not there!
The rest of this evening is going to be spent reading, twittering and playing candy crush saga on Facebook. I really hate how addictive that stupid game is. And how much I care that it's taking me so long to get past level 29 (send help. Seriously).

Haha thanks! It's doing my head in how I seem to spend a week getting past one level only to get stuck on the next one for another week (and yet it still hasn't made me stop playing it - I'm addicted, I swear.)
